Vaastu Shastra (The Science of Direction and Space)

Vaastu means a place of living. In Sanskrit it is called "Vaasysthalaha Ithi- Vaastu".  Therefore our place of living is called the Vaasthu Sthala and the Science dealing with it is called Vaasthu Shastra. In ancient days, Man lived in Cages and huts. While living in cages he thought he should make himself comfortable allocating different places for different purposes.
